LED HDTV: 60Hz vs 120Hz

I'm wondering if it's worth the additional $150 to get the 120Hz model for LED TV 1080p model. I will be using the TV mostly for:
- watching Netflix
- watching news & NBA
- play XBOX360
- connect my laptop to watch downloaded movies

Sometimes, the 120Hz version doesn't review well, or do enough to warrant the price increase, depending on whether or not it's a bargain basement brand, or something reputable with good product support/service.

Also, are you a film buff? That is, do you know what 24p is and will you be demanding a "true" 24p experience?

As stated by someone else -- the brand may make a difference and you didn't say if there were any particular brands you were interested in.
That said, if you can afford it -- spring for the additional $150 if you're gaming and watching movies.
