Any difference between them?

I just want to get a wifi blu ray player which has Android system, but recently I find a mini pc in the market now which can also have the same function. I guess whether there is any difference between them and will the wifi blu ray player be taken place by the Android TV box?

If you can be more specific about which exact makes/models you are looking at/buying, we can help further. The wifi enabled BD player will generally be less capable, but have some apps under the hood.

First, just like most people, when I decide to choose one of them, I take the price into consideration. It seems that the wifi blu ray player is much expensive than a normal mini pc. But the wifi blu ray player looks big and maybe it have a larger capacity and can install more software such as games, movies...but in fact, I really don't know the actual difference
I just plan to get one before Christmas and I decide to buy it for my parents, any good suggestion?

Blu Ray players will always be limited to what you can do with them. They are primarily designed to watch Blu Ray discs & DVDs, along with additional audio options. The 'app' add-ons came later, and are still limited. Don't think of it like a computer with a large empty hard drive you can fill on demand.

If you get more specific with what you mean by 'mini PC' (e.g. make/model) we can go from there and find you something you need.
