Hi,
I love movies and progressive frames (instead of interpolated), but all new HD tv's seem to have these huge refresh rates that completely ruin any movie experience. I can't watch movies on those TV's, it just looks like amateur videos with that fony motion "smoothness".
Anyone knows how I can avoid these ridiculous new trend that now seems to be standard without having to buy an old 100hz model? I ask this, because I love the aesthethics of new HD tv's and I would love to have one, but I just can't watch movies on them... And a guy at a store told me that there isn't any way to turn off that motion smoothness on the tv's, one just have to live with it...
Any suggestions? I was thinking of buying the Samsung 5500, it doesn't have the huge refresh rate and it still looks good!
Thanks!
