Streaming Dish Network HD signal to 2nd TV?

I replaced an old pre-digital TV with a new LED HDTV and would like to know if there is a way to stream my Dish network HD signal to my new second HDTV. It is already hooked up to the dish, but Dish says it won't receive HDTV like my primary TV unless they come out and add a second receiver (for $17/month extra)! My question is can I work around this by connecting a slingbox or similar device to my Dish receiver and stream the HD signal to my second TV?

No streaming.

To stream we would have to digitize the HD content, then get it to some streamer and then another box to unstream it back to HDMI.

Sounds expensive.

Why not a HDMI splitter (no, these are not cheap either but cheaper than above) and a long cable?

And we can try wireless HDMI if we want to cut the cord down a bit. Example at

There may be other solutions like this but between cables and boxes, figure under 400 bucks.
