60HZ VS 120HZ on a 32in lcd or led, Does it matter?

I want a 32 in bedroom tv but im not sure if I should go for a 120 hz or 60 hz which seems to be what most 32inch flat screen models offer. A few years ago I was told with a screen that size it 60 vs 120 did matter. Help please.

120Hz (why.)

The reason for 120Hz is very simple. If you want to watch BluRay media that has the 24p film option then you want the 120Hz screen. Sorry but I'll keep this short as the way is a bit over discussed. It's simply that 120 can be evenly divided by 60 and 24.

that "motion blurr" is/maybe more notice on a 60hz tv then the 120hz tv.

Bob pretty much said it, 120hz opposed to 60hz can make a pretty big difference when you get into response time in milliseconds. Early LCD monitors/TV's had pretty slow response times compared to old crt tv's or monitors, crt was superior in days past. We used to think that anything (LCD) with a response time below 16ms was OK for gaming and rapid video arrays, now with LCD/LED technological advances it isn't uncommon to see 2ms when running a 120hz unit, way good!!
