Surround System - Audio Return Channel - System Wiring

OK, took on a huge project after my insurance company declined to pay for damage from a slow leak to my outside wall. Built custom cherry cabinets on either side of a gas fireplace. Cabinets have bookcases on top and the new 60" Samsung LED TV (UN55C7000WF) is in the middle above the fireplace. Looking good so far. I'm handy and pretty good with electronics stuff if I can read a good manual. This is where things are fuzzy. The manual is not totally helpful. I'm routing most of the wires in the wall so I want to get this right before finishing the cherry surround (frame around the TV). Receiver is a Yamaha RX-V473. Right now I have a HDMI cord in the wall and power to the TV location. We really don't care to have cable/Dish (I know we are weird but $$$ is important and we have netflix) so we have been very satisfied with the over the air signal. Here's the questions:
1. The TV is supposed to have ARC so we should be getting sound from the receiver unit when watching OTA TV. Still need to fiddle with Anynet+ but haven't heard sound for plain tv watching. DVD player has picture and sound so I know I'm in HDMI2 port on the TV which is the ARC. I've heard this will always be only the front speakers (2.1) with this method, true? Or will the Yamaha convert it to 5.1 somehow?
2. If it is only going to be 2.1, should I route an Optical Cord in the wall to get more speakers (5.1) for regular OTA tv viewing?
3. Is the ARC only TV or will my netflix be in 2.1? Network will be wired with an ethernet cord to the receiver. I think the Netflix will be fine but want to confirm.
4. Finally, since we will be using over the air antenna, I realized the coax (RG6) cannot be screwed to the receiver so I will need to fish that in the wall to connect directly to the TV. Does cable/Dish connect this way or does the cable box typically have RG6 IN and an HDMI OUT to the receiver usually?
Long story but I have a lot to time and $$$ riding on this so I want it right. Also, I have built in wire channels for later if I need to add components/wire but want to get it dialed for the current system. Thanks all!!! Totally appreciate any comments.
