No sound using RCA & VGA With Samsung TV & Dell laptop

Hi, i'm looking for some help connecting my Dell Inspiron Laptop to my Samsung Tv , Model - LE40R88BD. I have lovely picture when connected with my VGA Cable but cannot get sound when i connect my RCA cable. I'm fairly new at this but know my way around my laptop. Any help would be really good . Thanks in advance. T happy

Page 7 at http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200703/20070328192817046_BN68-01169A-01Eng-0313.pdf does not show RCA jacks to be used when the PC VGA input is used. It shows some mini-jack to the left of the VGA connection.

Why not use the setup noted in the manual?
