help with a vtech cordless phone

hi
i just got a vtech cs6114-2 cordles phone and it wont work even after i charge the battery..i have no ial tone
and i cant recieve calls..any suggestions as to what i
can do?thanks

Can you get dial tone at the outlet with a regular phone?

If it is indeed brand new, have you called the support number?

hi

yep i can get a dial tone on a regular phone and i have the support number but i cant call them ..no phone..lol

there is something wrong with the base station. Generally these things are pretty simple; they either work or they don't. Good luck.

well charge light is still on..i bought this phone yesterday and i had the same issue with that one also..i followed the directions as to making a call as per the direction it doesnt do anything at all..

I would return both and get a inexpensive one instead. I always have cheap phone that doesn't require external power. That way you will always have a phone...even when there is a power failure. But...

Lets see if you got this right; phone line goes to the base station and plug in the power module then insert the battery in the handset and let it charge over-night. After charge for about 8 hours, push the "on" button and you should hear a dial tone. Your phone should be working properly.
