Grrrrrr! Teeny Tiny chip on new plasma TV

What's worse is it my fault, but won't even go into the details. It's a small chip .05mm deep by maybe 1mm long. It is not affecting picture quality in any way, but my main concern is this like a chip in an auto windshield that could possibly get bigger and cause me a huge problem? Also is there a possible fix or can I play dumb (like causing the chip wasn't dumb enough) and go back to the dealer, I have had it less than a week.

...something won't 'spider' out from a cheap or crack. It's the nature of the beast.

Whether or not there's a fix I do not know. My guess is that the panel glass/coating is a different enough animal from the typical auto-glass chip repair done on site (if you've every experienced that).

I would ask over at AVS forum for anyone who's had the same issue and wanted it repaired. Unless you are buddy buddy with a retailer and give them a lot of business, they *likely* won't take back your damaged HDTV. Read the fine print of the sales receipt if there's any doubt. If you bought it with a credit card (AMEX), you *might* be able to claim it that way, but since you know it's your fault, wouldn't you feel a little skeezy?
