Internet Radio Buffering problem with WIFI

I have an Internet Radio which intermittently struggles with buffering , causing me to have to disengage the electric cable and resetting after which it will work for a couple of weeks if I am lucky before the problem re-emerges; I have undertaken a restore to the Factory Settings etc but the problem continues. I should add that I do not experience the same problem with my MacPro so can only deduce something is wrong with the radio .

Any suggestions appreciated.

Internet Radio as in an Internet Radio Player, example here?

If so, does it connect wirelessly to a router?

Buffering is a sign of a slow connection and that might mean your internet connection speed is slow. Or perhaps other devices connected to the router are taking up the bandwidth?

Hi Mark

Thanks for your reply , very much appreciated.

The radio is wifi , the broadband speed is over 20 mbs so no problems in downloand speed; the only two devices which use the wifi facility is my I-Phone and the HP Printer but even that is switched off when not in use as the printer/fax is linked to the main telephone line.

When it comes to wifi, 20 mbs does not matter. Why?

Because WiFi can be interfered with easily you want to try changing the router channel and if you use security you know you want router defaults then WPA2 AES personal to keep others off your wifi.
