No audio from Netflix Samsung TV app to soundbar

I have a un46d7000 Samsung tv. I have the following components hooked up to it and their corresponding connections:
Directv - HDMI
xbox360 - HDMI
Samsung bluray - HDMI
WII - RCA
ZVOX Z-Base V220 - Optical
TV Firmware - 1023
When I use any of the components above, I get audio through the TV speakers and the ZVOX soundbar. When I use apps like Pandora or Youtube on the Samsung TV Smarthub, I get audio through the TV speakers and ZVOX soundbar. When I attempt to use the Samsung TV Smarthub Netflix app or HBO Go app, I only get sound through the TV speakers and not through the ZVOX soundbar.
I have PCM selected on the TV with the SPDIF connection. I have tried turning off the TV speakers and forcing sound through the "External Speakers" in the TV settings. I have contacted Samsung who told me it wasn't there fault and I should contact Netflix and HBO. I contacted Netflix and they told me it wasn't their fault to contact Samsung.
Netflix had worked previously although I don't have a timetable. I have a friend with the same tv with the same issue.
