DVD Player W/USB and Netflix

I'm looking for a DVD player that has a USB port and can play digital media but can also be connected to the internet and run Netflix.

Or would it be better to simply get a BlueRay player? I dont have any BlueRay movies and I dont really plan to upgrade my collection any time soon though.

Why buy a new DVD player when...

...Blu Ray players with embedded newer technologies can all also playback DVDs and many have the streaming apps you want & accompanying USB functionality(?)
