Lg 32LH30 optical out to Vizio VSB200, No TV audio

I just recently purchased the Vizio VSB200 Soundbar, I hooked it up via the optical out on my LG 32LH30. I really love the sound quality on this sound bar especially for the money that I purchased it for. However, the issue I have is that I am not getting audio when I have my TV on the TV input. I get no audio from the soundbar, however when I have it on the HDMI input for my PS3 I can hear the sound crisp and clear. I have yet to try another optical cable to see if it is faulty. But if it works with the PS3 i do not see an actual cable issue. I have the TV speakers on the actual LCD switched off via the Menu. I have toggled them on and off, but still no sound through the soundbar on the TV input. Thanks in advance. Really hoping to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.

Sounds like a bug.

Check the LG web page to see if the TV has newer firmware (surprised?) and if not, be sure to call it in.

VSB200 does not support dolby digital!

figured out the sound bar unfortunately does not support dolby digital. which is how the channels my TV recieves brodcasts them in. =/

All HDTVs are hobbled by a rule in the land of HD. It's pretty simple. All audio pass through SHALL BE STEREO with the exception of OTA or Over The Air. So a sound bar needs only to be Stereo for 99.99% of folk so that's what it is.

Sorry I missed it. You wrote TV input which wasn't enough for me to note the HD content pass through law.
