Having problems with Wireless Headphone Set

Hi,
I recently bought a wireless headphone set PHILIPS SHC 8525 to connect to my LG flat screen TV.
The transmitter of the headphone is set on the same table next to the TV. The first day it worked perfectly fine. But then from day two, the headphones started transmitting audio from a different TV channel than the channel that was on. In other words, I was watching History Channel, but the audio on the headphone was from CNN. Besides the audio was not clear with lots of white noises.
I played around with 3 audio channels that are present both on the transmitter and on the head phones, but none of them fixed the issue.
Strangely, even when I turned the TV off, I could still hear CNN on the headphone.

Does anyone know where the problem lies and how to tackle it?
