receiver keeps turning off and on.

my denon avr-1311 receiver keeps turning off and on. this only happens if i'm watching recorded shows thru' my iq2 box.[foxtel cable setbox].
watching live tv it is fine and stays on.
it'll turn off, wait a few seconds and then turn back on. stay on for a few minutes and then repeat.
any ideas please?

Is the TV electrical cord plugged into the back of the cable box? Is this foxtel box a DVR?
What else is connected to the receiver? May have to get a new box
