im having trouble figuring out what receiver i should buy?

Im considering these recievers the prices are included onkyo sr-tx608 $851, yamaha htr6063 $799 and denon 1911 $800. Than i'm wanting a matching brand of blu ray player to go with it (so if i buy the onkyo i want a onkyo blu ray player to go with it) i have heard there is some problems with the onkyo heat issuses. also i have heard that the denon has very good sound also is the yamaha and is natural sounding to. can u please share ur thoughts on the three amps and if there is any problems with? and which sounds the best? also how good is sherwood teatro speaker package it comes with 2 towers 2 bookshelf center channel plus a active subwoofer? im needing speakers and considering that package. if go with the yamaha i can get it from a shop that is offering a deal buy a amp and get the sherwood speakers cheap, the receiver, the sherwood speakers ($699) plus a extra set of sherwood bookshelves ($149)to make 7.1 plus the yamaha bluray bd-s671 for $300. how is good are yamaha dvd players? also do the sherwoods handle well and would that be a good deal? how do they compare to others? if u can make any recommendations i would be very thankfull. sorry fot the length of the question. my main use is music, gaming and the odd movie.

All 3 are good receivers. Trying to determine which one sounds the best is difficult to answer. Take a look at avsforum.com where there are forums specific to each receiver. You need to understand that the most important element in your system that affects sound is the speaker. I don't know anything about those Sherwood speakers, but you can find that Yamaha receiver for less than $699, which means those speakers are worth $100. That's a red flag because no good 5.1 speaker system can cost $100. You'd be better off buying a $300 receiver an spending $1000 on speakers.

Dan was 100% correct as to the speakers and receiver pricing.
I don't know your total budget nor your space considerations for speakers but here's my thoughts.
A blu ray player is a blu ray player almost regardless of brand (excluding Curtis, or Dynex and other house brands) and not including Oppo and other higher priced players). The only differences between the major players are whether you want 3D and/or wi-fi built in, etc. If you want to control the receiver and blu ray player with one remote -- go one brand like Onkyo or Denon or Yamaha (although you're paying a premium for the Denon and Yamaha brand name sometimes). You can get very capable receivers with great features for $350 to $450 (I always recommend to receiver purchasers grow into it not out of it but stay within or near budget if possible). I think Onkyo and Pioneer give the best bang for the buck.
As for speakers -- I'd avoid the Sherwoods (not known for speakers anyway). You may want to look at this CNET review.
