This video is a clear example why you shouldnt get active 3D for gaming. Aside from the obvious, game consoles render 3D faster than what Active 3D TVs current Hz rate is capable of. This results in a HUGE decrease in the number of fps (frames per second). On top of that, shutter glasses need to flicker to produce 3D images so we can safely say the amount of fps the viewer sees is reduced even more. Coupled with motion blur, flickering and crosstalk, this makes active 3D not the preferable TV for personal/competitive gaming. Theres a reason LG is sponsoring many gaming tournaments in Southeast asia with their passive TVs.
Some people will still say with that being said, the fps difference isn't noticeable. But to gamers like myself and lot others, who can tell even when the difference is as little as 10 fps, it hurts the gaming. It would basically be the difference between a headshot and a leg shot IMO.
