projector screen bleed? problem

I recently got a used Epson PowerLite 7500C (http://www.projectorcentral.com/Epson-PowerLite_7500C.htm). Upon testing it, I found that it has some problem with colors. Sometimes it looks almost right, but most of the time it has strong discolorations in certain areas. I don't know how to explain it very well. I'm not certain that color bleeding is the correct way to describe it or not, but I've included photos.
Here's the photo from the projector. Note especially the bright green on the left side (on the wood post and the rope):

Here's the photo of the same image from the laptop, with proper color:

I've tried a couple different sources, the video from the laptop (using Netflix) and Wii video game system. Both produce the same problem when viewed through the projector.
Can anyone explain what this problem is..., what it is called, why it occurs, and if there's anything that can be done to fix it? Is it a problem with the projector or due to the low specs on the projector itself?
