Center channel on a budget

I'm putting together a 5.1 surround system from what I own and still need a center channel, but dont want to spend much money. I've been eyeing the JBL BALBOA 2way 300w center channel speaker as it is about $50 on amazon.com (free shipping). But not sure if it'll match with my other speakers.

Front L/R: Bose 501s
Rear L/R: Bose tiny cube speakers (not sure of model) or JBL LX2001 Bookshelf Speakers
Receiver: Yamaha htr-5830

Any thoughts if this JBL is ok? or is there something better? Someone mentioned Theater Home Direct to me as well...

Bose 501s do you have? The better vintage ones or the new junk they put out now days? Photo... You can use google images & use that if you can't take a photo of the fronts.

For the back speakers what one is it? There is a BIG difference from those little boss cubes to a JBL LX2001.

The Bose 501s are series IV, they are old. What I was trying to say about the rear channel is I can either use the small bose or JBL.
The problem with keeping with the same brand speakers is that the Bose center channel speakers are expense and they seem to get low reviews. I was trying to see if a cheaper $50-$100 speaker would suffice.

The JBL, the small bose cubes will be lost over the big IV's.

For center channel, that is one of the most important speaker, about 60% of all sound comes from the center....

Can you do $144?
I found my center speak (JBL) on amazon, it is sold as "used/like new", I looked up the seller they are good & have a return policy if not happy...

It is a 3-way, dual 6" for the lows, 1 4" midrange driver & a Ti speaker for the highs. I have had mine 9-10 years & have no plans to replace it, well one of those JBL LC2's are tempting to get.

Thanks for the quick reply! That looks like a really nice speaker, I'm defiantly considering it. Just for a comparison, what do you, or anyone else, think of these slightly cheap options:

Pioneer SP-C21 $80 (new)
MTX Monitor 6C Dual 6-1/2" 2-Way Center Channel Speaker $100 (new)
BIC America Venturi DV64 2-Way Tower Speaker for about $100 (new)can this be used as a center channel?

Just trying to gauge thoughts on these as well, but the JBL s-center sure looks nice.
