Poll: Do you currently use an HDTV as a computer monitor?
Yes I use a HDTV as a computer monitor. I have been using HDTVs for most of the last four years as I am legally Blind (My eyesight is not as bad as it sounds) I would still use large HSTVs as computer monitors even if I had 20/20 or 20/10 vision and wasn't legally blind. Originally I had a 37" inch model from office depot that I bought in 2008 and used until it was stolen on August 13th 2009 (in a home invasion I had) then I switched back to a 19"inch monitor (ew pew icky, small computer monitors suck) then in 2010 I bought my current monitor a 46" inch Insiginia TV from Best Buy, it is 1080p and has 60Hz refresh rate. I am not happy about the low refresh rate but the local Best Buy here was out of 46"-47"TV's & had to hunt for over an hour to find me one. I love using large HDTVs for computer monitors Mine is in my computer room & is used solely for computer use, I have a separate TV in my living room. I love the large picture, my computer has a 1GB Nvidia video card which provides a great picture. I would love to upgrade to
a bigger HDTV with a full 48"inch/4foot viewing area & 120Hz or 240Hz refresh rate (240Hz would be the best, but would be a very expensive TV to buy) A HDTV with a full 48"inch/4foot viewing area is probably a 60"inch or 65" inch HDTV, I wouldn't want to go any bigger than that, it would be to expensive & take up too much space
