14 bit color in a Monster Cable?

I'm not sure what this means? Does this mean that the cable allows more color transfer than a standard HDMI Cable? It says regular HDMI Cables allow up to 10-bit color but this Monster cable allows up to 14-bit...

Also, one other question. Should I use this cable from my PS3 to my Home Theater Receiver, or from the Home Theater Receiver to the TV?

& forget over priced Monster cables.


For the 2nd part you need 2 HDMI cables, one from the PS3 to the receiver so you get HD audio, then one from the receiver to the tv for video.

Seeing that there are no 14 bit sources

having a cable that can carry 14 bits worth of information is pointless (unless, that is, you are a company trying to justify the cost of absurdly overpriced cables)
