connecting my JVC Gr-DVL150 Camcorder to PC.

I want to transfer my video tapes from the above camcorder to my Vista PC. I understand that I need a iLink/Dv out(4 to 6 pin)cable,but my pc does not have a 6 pin connection point.Is there such a thing as an adapter to plug into a USB port to connect a 6point cable into? OR what else can you suggest to overcome my problem.Help Please.

here i am in 2011 with same problem. I was sold igrabber hardware but my system cant find the drivers etc. what did you end up doing?

To be honest, you will get better help with your issue if you post this in the camcorder forum. There are some really helpful folks there.

That said, I do not believe you can use USB for (directly) transferring/capturing footage from that particular camcorder model. You will need to use firewire AFAIK. This unfortunately means having the appropriate connections on a laptop or desktop.

If igrabber is what I think it is, you might encounter small issues getting it to work properly with Vista or W7. Of course, YMMV.

edit: I do see their site gives a W7 driver to download. Sounds good. Here's a link-
