Which reveiver would be best for my system?

by ghostdog2019 - 12/12/08 11:01 AM

I am in no way an expert with all the technical terms but what I am looking for is a good receiver from the list I will provide in this post that best matches what I am trying to achieve. I will first list the audio/video equipment being used.

TV - Panasonic TH50PZ800U with THX picture
Bluray Player - Panasonic BDK35
Video Game Systems - PS3, Xbox 360, & Wii
Speakers - TBD depending on how much I spend on the receiver.

For setup here is what I am looking for. I want a receiver that handles both HDMI 1.3 video and sound with all the HD codecs for lossless and master audio. The PS3, Bluray Player, and TV will be using HDMI to achieve this. I also want decent upscaling for the component video inputs for my Xbox 360 and Wii to 1080p.

I would like to purchase the receiver with either my Bestbuy or CC card if at all possible.

The receivers I have to choose from are as follows.

-Denon AVR-3808CI
-Denon AVR-2809CI
-Onkyo TX-SR806
-Pioneer Elite VSX-94TXH
-Yamaha RX-V1900

I am also open to other options or suggestions. I was looking at an Onkyo TX-SR876 for the reon chip for video upscaling but I only can get this with cash which I am trying to use for my speakers(more freedom of choice)

Thanks in advance for all the help.
