Help....no coaxial outlet on back of LCD TV

I'm attempting to hook up my 32" LCD TV in our master bedroom. We do not have a cable box in the bedroom and the TV does not have a coax input on the back. I really don't want to rent another cable box so I was wondering what I can do to hook up the TV to the coax cable. The guy at Radio Shack said I needed a "reverse RF modulator box" but didn't have one to sell me.
Currently, I have the cable running to an old VCR and a red/yell/white cable running from the VCR to the TV. This is working as a quick fix but we are not getting many channels. The TV is an Olevia 32" LCD and has all the common inputs on the back....HDMI..S-video....VGA...just no coaxial input.
Any ideas on about how to make this connection?
