Home audio & video forum: Getting a PS3, HDTV, and maybe a surround sound.....help!!!!

u might want to consider Circuit City for TV's. I started my research at Best Buy and then went to Circuit City, where the prices are a lot cheaper. As far as tv's are concerned, I could not give a suggestion because I do not know how you plan on watching your tv and where you plan on placing it. Placement is key to determining what size tv you want. Also, what type of programming are you interested in. I myself love sports, play PS3 and watch my tv about 8-9ft away, so i went with a 37' inch JVC full HDTV. Also remember that when you purchase your HDTV and PS3, you also have to take into consideration the extra components you will have to buy. Like B-ray remote for your PS3, HDMI cables, extended warranties, and stuff like that! I hope that helps! Lemme know what you end up doing!

I would definitely recommend you price match as much as possible. Also consider that CC, at least when i went last (1 mo. ago) was offering a savings of around 300 or so if you purchased an DIrectv package. So basically get the package save money on your tv, which should be cheaper in price than BB. So that gift card that you have can be used to purchase awesome movies like Casino Royale and my fav Ratatouille (sorry, im a kid at heart).
