HDMI looks worse than Component on Comcast HD Box. Help!

Ok, so i'm running to this problem I can't seem to figure out.
I just purchased a 1080p 52" Samsung LCD. The LN-T5265F. Hopefully it's not the TV.
And I'm running the new Motorola HD box from Comcast. The DCH3200.
Now it has an HDMI output that I'm running directly into the TV. I also decided to run component cables as well. To see if there was a different. And boy was I surprised.
The HDMI came up fuzzy and pixelated. While the Component (still a little grainy and pixelated) was much much better.
I'm annoyed that I'm seeing pixelation at all. Is this normal?
And I was hoping that the HDMI would get rid of this. but instead it made matters worse.
So, any suggestions?
