As a loyal Sony customer, why not go right to the company for guidance?

level of customer service to get past these mindless automated, one size fits all responses. It is somewhat of a struggle, but with repeated, pointed appeals - a real human being eventually should see your plight & actually do something useful.

I've had these struggles with several operations such as Samsung, Vonage, Verizon, Cisco, & a few more. Eventual success can usually be made. BTW it used to be easy to get to a real live person with Verizon, but apparently no more. I have 5 more days on my contract with them. If the idiots at the Verizon store can't actually straighten issues out - it bye bye Verizon.

Keep trying to get to that next level. Maybe a Sony dealer might be able to give you a phone number to actually contact tech support or customer relations or whatever they call it.

With Samsung I used polite persistence to get referred by low level customer support to "executive customer support." It eventually got me reimbursed $800 for repairs by one of their authorized service center contractors because the repair was after warranty but the repair itself had a 90 day warranty & they didn't get it right the first time. I wasn't going to let getting brushed off by the authorized repair center saying "too bad."
