home therate reciever video/audio switching

hi all i wonder if any other recievers can do this other than the
Onkyo TX SR602

The receiver can be set up to play the audio from the previously selected input. What does this mean? It means that if there is a CD that I want to listen to while I play my video games all I have to do is select the CD input on my receiver, start playing and then switch to the video mode

if u know of any could u please let me know especily if the have hdmi 3 i wont to connect a crt projector though rgb and use hdmi 4 sound as the new formats require it thanks

I don't like the switching scheme you've just described, feels sloppy, and I don't think you need it, here's why:

You have HDMI inputs, which take audio and video into the surround sound processor, which provides either an HDMI video out, or component RGB (or DVI, or S-Video, etc) video output(s) to the display, audio is either directly to the speakers (if the processor is a reciever and has a amplifier) or directly to the pre-amp(s) over analog.

So I don't know quite what you're worried about, however it shouldn't be a problem. I'd also be looking at Denon, Rotel, harmon/kardon, and Yamaha (in addition to, or in place of, Onkyo).
