Windows Media Player 11

Any and all help would be appreciated. I recently downloaded Windows Media Player 11 and it does not reconize that I have a cd/dvd burner, not one but two installed. My computer reconizes that I have two and that they are working properly, but Media Player 11 does not reconized either one and I have tried re-installing media player, does any one have any ideas how to even to get it to work to burn music. I can listen to music and watch videos, just not burn a cd.

There are FAR better apps for burning CDs and DVDs

I wouldnt use WMP 11 for anything but watching movies. It does that very well.

Get Nero or Roxio and you will have the means to burn all kinds of media and with Roxio Creator 9 you can take home movies and turn them into full featured DVDs that play in any DVD player.

i too have had trouble with it it wont reconise my burner ,have tried roll back i cant even do that it is a real mess

They worked fine when you bought then but just a year later you appreciate the rear window defroster so your hands wouldn't freeze to the glass.

Media Player 11 does not recognize CD burner

Well it took over 6 yrs for this to happen to me. I have tried everything mentioned here and more. I guess the response to use a different program, is about the only way to go seeing as no one appears to have an answer. Thanks for posting this issue. At least I now know I am not alone and should move forward and dump Media Player.
