Echoing between surround sound and TV

Hi, I recently upgraded to a 42" Samsung HD DLP tv. My complete system has a Comcast DVR box, inexpensive Sony audio receiver, PS2 and the TV. The TV is connected the the cable box via HDMI, Cable to receiver is digital (the orange one), PS2 is component. When I am watching TV, the tv audio is slightly, but definitely noticeable, ahead of the receiver. I am forced to turn the TV sound all the way down and just use the surround sound system.

Is there any way to eliminate this echo, a faster audio connection perhaps?

WHY DO YOU WANT TO USE THE T.V. SPEAKERS IN THE FIRST PLACE

My home theater system does the same thing. Simple cure went to t.v. menue and shut of the t.v. speakers Who wants to hear that horrible sound from the t.v. steweee

Because of the delay there is a feeling that everything is dubbed.

Yep...My Samsung does the same...

Notice that it only does this when you are watching an analogue signal through the tv. It appears that when its decoding the analogue signal it takes longer apparently than when you are viewing a digital signal. In other words, if you use the antenna, or some purely digital signal signal source, there is no delay.
