Pioneer Warranty on 505MX is NONEXISTENT!!!!!!
I called Pioneer Electronics today at 800-421-1404. Per their Home Line Department and their Industrial Department, they have ABSOLUTELY NO AGREEMENT WHATSOEVER with PriceMad. They do not know why the sales reps over there are telling consumers that they have an agreement to give a warranty on ONE of their televisions, but not all. The Pioneer MX series is manufactured for overseas use. She couldn't even confirm the model 505MX. And these are salaried employees of Pioneer. If they don't know, then who is supposed to know? Some guys in a Brooklyn chop-shop trying to give you a good deal? Yeah, right. I think I will go with Pioneer reps. Do yourselves a favor and try to cancel the order. They didn't want to cancel mine, but they finally did. You just have to be very rude and straightforward with them. As long as you don't sign for the delivery, you can dispute the charge with your credit card company, and then let them haggle it out. Perhaps this was the best TV in the world, but I just don't want to spend $4,000 on taking a chance. I am going to purchase a REAL legit TV from one of Pioneer's authorized dealers. The woman at Pioneer said that unfortunately the internet is a Buyer's Beware market, and that there is nothing that they can do for us. Good luck everyone!!! I hope everything works out for everyone and you are all happy with your TVs!!! If and when you get them, post it online to let the rest of us know how it worked out. Thanks!!!
