LCD PAL compatible?

I am buying a TV in the US. The type of TV I buy will be determined by where i can use it. I plan to take it to Latin America if possible. Does anyone know if LCD can use PAL? I know regular tubes have the frequency issue but i am not familiar enough with the new technology to know how it works or if it is an issue.... Please advise..

Some do and some don't.

Try looking for "specifications."

Not so easy to tell

I don't know what that other replier was thinking, but PAL compatiblity is rarely listed in a TV's specifications. I have a Vizio LCD and that definitely can display PAL, but only through its HDMI inputs. It won't take it through the regular video inputs, but you can get around that using an A/V receiver- I have a multistandard VCR running through that which then goes to the TV's HDMI input.

Only real easy way to tell is bring a PAL device to a store where you're testing out the TV.
