MP3 players forum: re edirol current consumption

today I received my machine and i was very exited
the machine come with firmware 1.03 as expected
before i received the machine I bought and cf 1gb and
a usb card reader/writer both from scandisk , the
card ultra II as demanded by edirol
I put on the card many mp3 songs with various resolutions vbr and nor vbr and waited untill today
when i received the machine just puted the already made
card and just the music popped out without any problem.
the wheell was not attached good and i had to reatach
and fixed for myself.
the functions were simple and in a few minutes I was
able to use and understand all the functions quickly
I was very interested how much current this machine
needs for operation in different modes
here are some preliminary results
the sounds (mp3/320k) are CLEAN AND COVERS ALL THE SPECRUM without signs of distortion

first on without backlight or effects 250ma
backlight adds 50 extra ma,play +backlight+effect
360ma in record standby without backlight and effect 350ma,formal record 410ma ,and record+effect 420ma(all
record current values without backlight)
if some one wants to know how much time will work
the machine with a rechar. nimh battery of 2000ma/h
you just divide the battery ma/h by the current in the mode of play or record choosed
the sound was monitored with my yamaha RH5MA HEADPHONES AND MY SENNEIZER HD580
