Query re Sony Walkman MP3 player

I am thinking of buying a Sony Walkman NWZ-E385 E Series 16GB MP3 Player to replace a Creative Zen V Plus 8Gb which has failed after 6 years. The vast majority of my backed-up 946 tracks are WMA format ripped at a bit rate of 256kbps. The Sony Website page for this model shows WMA support limited to a maximum bit rate of 192kbps. Can anyone advise if this is truly the case? If it is, I will have a huge amount of work ripping most of the tracks to MP3 format, for which a maximum of 320kbps is supported.
Curiously no bit rate is quoted by Sony for the more recent Walkman model NWZ-E585.
