suitable mps help

Hi folks
I am currently studying a course and make questions and answers on the subject into WMA files to play on my mp3.
During playback of these files it sometimes takes me a while to search my brain for the answer so ime looking for an mp3 player with an long/indefinate pause function.

my current mp3 switches off after about 5 seconds which means i have to switch it on again and set play etc which is most annoying.
any advice is helpfull thanks

Most of today's phones can play many things. Since a mp3 player costs about the same, I got a phone with no service. Done.
