Microsoft Zune??????

My Zune works basically perfect, but let's say that I just bought some new headphones. When I plug them in, the left side doesn't work. But when I plug them into something that does work like my tablet they work perfectly fine. What do you think is the problem is it something that I can get fixed any answers are appreciated thanks in advance.
