Riptunes MP3 mp1857. HELP!!!

I purchased a riptunes mp3 player for my daughter and I can't get music on it. When I plug it into the usb port it makes the ding noise and then it makes the noise again and the icon appears & disappears from my computer folder. It only shows the removable disk for a brief second. I have tried to look online for tips but haven't found anything.

Does anyone know how to get it to work? It's not on hold or anything.

All I can suggest is their own suggestion to try a different USB port, or, if possible, a different USB cable.

If they fail, try a different computer and if that fails it might be that the player is faulty.
