Phillips MP3 Player HDD 1635/17

I just purchased this used player. I have no software or instructions for it.
It was working for about a minute, then froze on "shuffle". The screen stays on - cannot turn it off or on. Battery is fully charged.
Is this fixable?
Where do I get software for my PC?
Where do I get an instruction booklet?

I'm new to MP3 players and don't want to spend a lot fixing up something that's not worth fixing up.

As to the fixable the answer is usually no as repairs cost as much as these player do to replace. As to the software and instructions I wonder if you tried a search engine like google.

...the 1635/17 had its litany of problems. Classic Philips junk gear; one of many reasons why I no longer bother with any of their products if given a choice, from electronics to light bulbs. Truly hope you didn't pay much for it.
