As of the time of this post, It is around $35 at Amazon, It has a backlit screen, songs can be added to a GoList, which is like a playist. As listed, It comes in 1gb or 2gb sizes. It is a Drag and Drop Player. And It's fairly simple to use. Only thing is it has to be plugged into a computer to charge. And a FM Radio is built in. I hope that this helps you out!

you can get a 4G for around $50 as well. Uses the same audio chip as the Clip + will offer high end audio quality, have a screen that does display Album cover art, can create playlist, micro SD slot.

the Sansa's are without a doubt the best players under a $100.
Budget price but high end sound.

Archos Key

The Archos Key might work for you. $35, super simple connection and drag & drop. No cable required as it just plugs right into your computer. I don't know if there is a wall charger though.

I recently got a Phillips 4g w/over 1" screen for less than $40 and a 30 day free trial w/Rhapsody.. bought at Target.

I'd second the Sansa Clip. Also, for a better screen and interface, for almost nothing extra, check out the Sansa Fuze. Drag-n-drop, video capability, photos, plays mp3, FLAC and VogOrbis files, FM radio and built-in voice recorder. Plus a microSD card slot for added/replaceable memory.
