iPod Touch Ad Hoc Wi-Fi

Hey guys...

I have a question--

Well I have been owning an ipod touch 16 gb with version 1.1.3 for about 20 days now...

the question that i wanted to ask is--

I have a broadband connection but not a wi-fi router... its only ethernet.

there is an option in my Dell Inspiron E1405 which says that I can setup an ad hoc network to enable connection between two computers.

now i want to know as to how can i use the internet on my ipod touch by using my d-link dsl 502t router.

i cannot buy a wi-fi router.. that is out of the question

please help me!!!

also please give me the same suggestion for the psp too!!

Frankly with wifi routers being so cheap (paid 20 for the last one) why are you disregarding the easy fix?

Bridge

in response to the post above, windows OS can "self" configure a bridge between the ethernet LAN and the Wireless LAN or WLAN.
First you need to setup your Ad Hoc wireless connection and "connect" to it in the network connections window.
Then bridge your LAN and WLAN in your internet connections window, high light both and right click, when the menu pops up select bridge and watch the magic happen, usually takes a couple of minutes and sometimes some configuring.
Windows should be able to create a vertual bridge between the two network chip sets.
Once they are bridged you should see your Ad Hoc network on both the PSP and Ipod Touch
