Music subscription service for non-us residents

Good day,

Just want some help in finding a music subscription service that allows international users to download music? I want to get a Zune, but currently Zune Marketplace is closed to non-us residents, so is iTunes and Rhapsody. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes frustrating isn't it? They always ask for a zip code !
I found if you're just wanting to "download" not "live fee"
that Limewire is a pretty good source, good library selection, easy to
filter search by Genre, artist, or even just song name. Very user Friendly, even my 60+ yr old Mother can use it ! :0)
Oh yah, and it's free, no zip required.

Thanks, but I really want to stay on the straight and narrow. I have used bittorrent and other p2p software for years, but surveying my music collection, I have come to the realization that it is a disorganized mess simple because of how these p2p services are, for example:

- Tracks often have incomplete ID3 information (wrong song names, artists, genre, album).
- Almost impossible to get a full album.
- Quality is questionable (skipping tracks, funky bitrates, etc.).

I have around 80GB of music right now, and its impossible to find anything, and its keeping me from enjoying my music.

I want to subscribe as I think its the best way for me to survey new music and only pay for songs I really want to keep. Thanks for your help. Any other ideas?

Amazon is going to roll out its mp3 downloads worldwide (how worldwide, I don't know) sometime this year. Right now, it's only in the US. It has deals with the 4 major record labels and probably many independents. With its DRM-free music (mp3s that can be played on any player) it already is a worthy competitor. Fully rolled out, it could be superior.

Look into Napster. It's available in Canada, Japan, Germany, and the U.K. at least. There may be others countries as well.
