new to mp3.downlaod question

i bought a sony nwz-a818 mp3 i thought i could download songs from cds i owned onto it is there something i am missing that i need to do also.when i try to drag songs from cds i put in nothing happens.thanks for help

you need to rip them to your computer first

You can't drag them straight from your audio cds. You're going to rip your cds into mp3 format onto your computer. So, you'll need to have some room on your computer to do this.
