Which mp3 players are comnpatible with mac os x?

Hi everyone,
Well I'm about to jump on the music bandwagon and buy myself an mp3 player but, other than ipod, I really don't know which players are compatible with mac os x. I was going to buy an ipod but after reading so many bad reviews (poor battery power/crap technical support etc) I've decided against adding to Apple's profits!

I'm looking to spend between 100 - 160 on a 4GB mp3 player, so can anyone recommend a good brand that will work on my mac computer? I'm a bit of a techno/gadget phobe so any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

iPod only

There are no mp3 players out there that rival iPod's sexy appeal and ease of integration with iTunes. Also your price is way too low. The only place I've heard bad about iPod is on this website where they are obsessed with finding an iPod replacement. And if you have a mac why would you want anything but iPod.

Cowon Iaudio products work fine on Windows, Linux, and OS X. I don't think they make a 4GB model, but they do have several 2GB models (G3, U3, U2) that would be in your price range.

Also, they have the X5 which would probably be in your price range for a 20GB model.
