Best small and light MP3 player

Hi

I am looking for MP3 player and would like to hear peoples opinions on what they think. I want something as small and light as possible - not too worried about huge storage - 1Gb will be fine for me I think.

Players I am considering:

Ipod Nano 2Gb (though am a bit worried about the screen cracking issue)

Creative Zen Nano 1Gb

Sony NW-E99 1Gb

Sony NWE407 1Gb

Thinking of a budget of around 70-100 though if anyone knows of any better small players I would be grateful

Screen Cracking Issue

has been fully dealt with by the Manufacturer. Seems there was an issue with one of the manufactures of the screens, the screens did not meet the design specs.
All Nano's with a flawed screen will be replaced by Apple, under the ONE year warranty. Check the warranty on the other players in your list
This is no longer a problem.
The iPod Shuffle @ 1Gb should also be a consideration but is still outside the price range. The iPod Shuffle @ 512Mb is inside the bracket.

All of the players on your list are outside of your stated price range.
The NW-E99 is a discontinued item

Your choice.

Thanks for that - my price range isnt really fixed I will spend a bit more if the player is worth it.

Just seen another player that seems good the Iaudio U2 - bit expensive at 130 for the 1gb model though I see they do a 256mb for 50.

Anyone got/had one of these?

sony offers jaw-breaking playback time..70 HRS on a single AAA... while creative offers best audio quality.. sony does it job fine in audio quality.

The best overall 1GB player

Check out the Xtatix Shooter at (www.xtatix.com). It has internal rechargeable battery, FM, it is one of the only players which records in uncompressed wav format, has line-in, comes with free wall charger.

I just came across this and think it's a cool player. It's one of the best players I found on the market and has built-in USB.
