MP3 players forum: just got the RCA Lyra Rd 2762

anyone?

I thought it was a good price. I understood that I could use it to save other types of files too, like a jump drive.

So far my observations are:
-battery life isn't great
-why doesn't it charge when connected to usb?
-I want a fast forward option to move to a different part of the song.
-I have about 600 songs on it and it's around 88% full. I don't know how you could have gotten that many songs on it.
-I can't get the lyra software to work in xp.
-Syncing locks up with windows media player at times and requires rebooting the laptop.
- I went through media player after the first sync and changed some artist and genre tags - the next time I connected it had to re-sync completely - why couldn't it compare and just change the tags or the files that had been changed?
- I want to keep some music on the lyra that I don't have room for on the laptop - synching with windows media makes this difficult.
- I wish I could build playlists and change classifications from the lyra player.
- I should have gotten one with an fm tuner

-To chrage with usb you hold the on button for like 2 seconds like when u turn it on. while its pluged
-IT does fastforward just hold the stick to the right
-I have about 300 songs and its 30% full
-i cant get the software to work either or the update.
-syncing doesnt lock up on me using windows media play
-To change the tags and make folders and stuff you just open up my computer and at the top bar just go to the Lyra and u can change tags move around songs and make folders and i dont even really use windows media no more i just drag the song into the folder and its done. i only use windows media player to convert mp3s to wmas to save space
