advice on wether to purchase a HD or Standard camcorder....

hi i am really needing some advice on what type of camcorder would suit me best regarding what i use it for which is for recording the kids b,days, xmas, playing footy etc
I really want one in the 150 quid bracket of good quality but most of all is very easy for me to get the video off of the cam onto my laptop and then burn onto dvd discs after some small edits.
The camcorder has to be compatible with my Asus laptop which only has a standard dvd burner and runs window7,I also have a HD tv and blu ray player hence why i am thinking of going down the HD route.
A problem with the HD camcorder I need clarified is regarding burning it onto disc via my pc......
can the HD video be burned onto only a blue ray dvd disc or also on to standard dvd discs??
reason i ask is i want to be able to burn the family videos onto regular discs and give to my parents etc as most only have standard dvd players and tvs.
however if possible a cam that can do both as i would prefer my discs to contain the full HD quality so i can watch them on my HDtv via blue ray player.
is this possible?
I also dont want to have to spend loads of time on the editing and burning side of it as I have tried to do it with my old dvi tapes and its hell!!
any help re what would be the way to go would be totally appreciated
here is a couple of the cams im looking at just now
