Canon VIXIA HF R300 Memory card error

Camcorder worked fine at first. Didn't use it for a few months, and the next time we tried to use it, we get this message when we press the record button:

"No memory card"

It's this way no matter what memory card we try to use. It's as if it's not recognizing it at all.

Any suggestions??

Do the cards work in other devices?

Did you try a reset or format in the camera? ( I didn't see you provide a link to the camera manual so I can't reference the pages that's on. )
