Slo motion video for capturing still photos

I would like a camera that I can shoot video for the purpose of getting good photos of my terriers in motion. I need to get nice photos of my dogs, but my camera is not fast enough to capture them. I take thousands of photos and very few are good enough for my website. More frequently than not the dog is not even in the frame. When I shoot video and look at the stills the composition is good but the quality is terrible. Please advise.....thanks

Canon says they will market a new C100 camera just in time for Christmas.
Combination Camcorder/DSLR camera.
