JVC GZ-MC 100E firmware update

Firmware update is needed for camcorder JVC GZ-MC 100E. Such new functions are required:
-ability to record motion detection
-720p video support, if it can record 9mbps videos
-allow to use as webcam

I need new firmware that will enable fallowing functions:
-ability to record motion detection, very useful function
-720p video support, because this camcorder can record high bitrate videos up to 8.5Mbps
-allow to use as webcam, this is optional if motion detection can be enabled

I believe this requires changes just in software

So far, no camcorder maker has added such after the product is put on the market. Because of this you should return this camcorder and shop for units that do what you need.

It's all about profit. But I can't buy now new camcorder. It would be simpler upgrade camcorder software. If companies need profit why they don't sell firmwares? Although they should do it just to have good name.

A big maker long ago tried to sell upgraded drivers and it went down in flames. The message was loud and clear that few would pay for such.

And I don't need to remind you that software development is not cheap. To add more costs you see that recent Apple settlement so you can't add features without incurring possible patent issues. Yes, using the camcorder as a web cam is patented. So you can't just add it and not incur more costs.
