Look for any reset feature in the menus and the MANUAL. Also try a fully charged battery.
Remember these are "bricks" with no user serviceable parts so be careful about repair costs.

Hi there.
I tried all the mentioned above and it's still there..So I took my camera in to get a quote.
The tech guys say its a main board failure but they dont know what caused it..Only that it will cost me R8000.00(I'm from South Africa)..But it bugs me that they don't know the cause of the promlem.No evidence of a power surge ect..They say it's the first time that they've seen such probleme...Do you think it could be a factory fault that Sony has missed..I'm hoping some reads this..had the same probleme and know what caused it..It's crazy that they expect me to pay that much money but don't even know what caused it.

Since it's not in their care when it failed it could have been anything. I can only guess you are trying to find a way to make it their fault.
